About This Place

Located on Blalock Road in Houston, Pho Quynh stands out as a beacon of authentic Vietnamese cuisine that truly captures the heart and soul of Southeast Asia. This inviting Vietnamese restaurant offers much more than just a meal—it presents a rich culinary experience deeply rooted in tradition, freshness, and bold flavors.

The moment you step inside, the casual and unpretentious atmosphere welcomes you like an old friend. Here, the focus is undeniably on the food, and the extensive menu brilliantly reflects the diversity and depth of Vietnamese cooking. From the signature Pho DAC Biet, a special pho rich with layers of perfectly simmered broth and tender, melt-in-your-mouth beef, to the expertly grilled Short-Ribs Rice Plate and the flavorful Mi Quang loaded with vibrant herbs and textures, every dish tells a story.

One truly unforgettable highlight is the Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio, vermicelli bowls topped with crisp egg rolls, fresh vegetables, and grilled meats, offering a sensational balance of textures and tastes. The Banh Mi Dac Biet, packed with deluxe grilled pork and fresh cilantro in a perfectly toasted baguette, elevates the humble sandwich into an art form.

The sensory experience at Pho Quynh is remarkable: think of the fragrant steam rising from a bowl of Bun Bo Hue with its spicy, tangy broth that tingles your palate, or the crisp crunch of freshly fried egg rolls paired with the freshness of shrimp spring rolls. The house’s Seafood Pho and Shrimp Fried Rice sing with ocean freshness, balanced by aromatic herbs and spices that transport you straight to the bustling street markets of Vietnam.

Customers consistently praise the generous portions and authentic flavors. As one regular, Seth Carlin, shares, “The Pho is always on point, fresh and the portion is gigantic.” Another enthusiast, Cait K, emphasizes that despite the modest decor, Pho Quynh confidently claims the title of best Vietnamese food in Houston—a sentiment echoed by many who keep returning for their favorite dishes.

The friendly and attentive service enhances the experience without ever feeling intrusive, even during busy lunch hours. You order at the front, and the team promptly delivers piping hot plates to your table, ensuring you can focus on savoring each bite. The affordability, quality, and sheer authenticity make Pho Quynh a beloved spot for locals and visitors alike.

For those craving a bit more, the restaurant offers tempting sides like extra rice, noodles, and perfectly cooked over-easy eggs, allowing you to tailor your meal perfectly. Don’t miss out on their standout coupon offers such as “The Ultimate Pho Special,” boasting all the proteins and beef rib—a true feast for pho lovers.

Whether you are seeking an unforgettable bowl of pho, a refreshing coconut drink, or a hearty rice platter, Pho Quynh promises to satisfy with every visit. It’s a place where every dish is a celebration of Vietnamese heritage, made with care and passion that you can taste in every bite.

In short, Pho Quynh is not just a meal; it’s a delicious journey into Vietnamese culture and flavors, warmly welcoming you to discover why it’s consistently rated as one of Houston’s premier Vietnamese dining destinations.

Came here for lunch and was not disappointed, you need to order at the front but they bring the food to your table. The menu is extensive and the prices are very affordable. They have some lunch options as well. The amount they give you is generous, the flavors and quality of the food is great! The food tastes so very good. The service was also very good, they just get busy during lunch.

This place is absolutely phenomenal, the Pho is always on point, fresh and the portion is gigantic. The House special number 1 is my go to, if I don’t want pho. I absolutely recommend this place, I’ve been coming here for over 4 years, at least once a week. Its my favorite restaurant. Definitely ask for the bun bo hue broth in the pho, thats a game changer!

This is a classic Pho spot that I visit whenever I’m craving an authentic Vietnamese experience. There’s no need to compare it with non-Vietnamese restaurants—Vietnamese cuisine is unique, simple, authentic, and deeply rooted in history and healthy food. A well-deserved 5-star rating!

The food is great. I was happy to see vegetarian options to choose from. I ordered the Fried Rice & Fired Tofu with Egg. It’s my personal favorite order. The establishment is inside the 99 Ranch Market which makes it convenient for some grocery shopping. The space is a little small on the inside, but they do have a small area outside to eat. Staff is very friendly.
